A EU account isn't enough if you don't have the right video output, so go ahead and by the cable if you want the demo so bad.
And yes, I am certain that this is the legit problem with the demo. I do hope that this helps a fair amount of people with their problem.

This cable will allow you to boost your video output into 720p HD. You can find them on eBay for less than $4, people! If you are certain that NOTHING will stop you from playing this demo, by all means, go ahead and seize the oppertunity. What you can do to fix the problem is go and purchase a cheap HDMI cable from your local electronics store. We have something called NTHC, which doesn't work with the Raging Blast 2 format. European TV's/PS3's have different PAL than us American/Japanese users do. The reason that this is happening is because you MUST be in 720p to play the demo.
